How does WoodDrop vet new suppliers?
WoodDrop's vetting process is designed to confirm that a new supplier can deliver consistently to the standard customers on the platform expect. Vetting involves a review of the supplier's wood stock (including moisture testing), a check on delivery capacity, and confirmation that the supplier understands and accepts WoodDrop's operating standards.
Vetting is not a bureaucratic hurdle — it is a quality filter that protects both customers and other suppliers on the platform. A supplier who passes vetting is listed immediately and starts receiving orders.
What does the WoodDrop supplier agreement cover?
The WoodDrop supplier agreement sets out the terms under which a supplier operates on the platform. Key areas it covers include:
- Quality standards — moisture content, species, and representation requirements
- Delivery standards — adherence to the customer-selected delivery window
- Pricing — the agreed retail price per Drop and bulk quantity
- Order acceptance — response time requirements and consequences of repeated non-acceptance
- Strike system — WoodDrop's three-strike policy for quality or delivery failures
- Termination — the conditions under which a supplier can be removed from the platform
The agreement is reviewed periodically and suppliers are notified of any material changes. Continued listing on the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
How does payment work for suppliers?
Customers pay WoodDrop online at the time of ordering. WoodDrop settles with each supplier on an agreed payment cycle after successful delivery confirmation.
Suppliers do not handle payment at the door — all transactions flow through WoodDrop's platform. This protects suppliers from cash risk and payment disputes.
Before applying: Read the wood guide to understand how WoodDrop categorises and describes wood products. Your application will be stronger if you can specify moisture levels, densities, and burn characteristics for the wood you supply — not just species names.
How do I apply to become a WoodDrop supplier?

Initial review
WoodDrop will review your enquiry and respond within two business days. If your profile is a potential fit, we'll arrange a brief introductory call or WhatsApp conversation.
Moisture testing and stock review
You'll be asked to provide a sample or moisture reading for each wood type you want to list. WoodDrop may also visit your storage or operation as part of this step.
Agreement and onboarding
If vetting passes, you'll receive the supplier agreement to review and sign. Once signed, your products are listed on the WoodDrop catalogue and you begin receiving orders.
